Frequently asked questions
Is Zebra Photo really free?
Yes. Every tool, preset and export size is free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many photos you edit.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Editing happens in your browser on your own device. Your photos are never sent to ZEBRA or any other server.
Is it like Lightroom?
It covers the core of Lightroom’s Edit panel for single photos: light, color, color mixer, curves, effects, detail, crop and presets. It does not open RAW files or manage a photo library. Lightroom is a trademark of Adobe; Zebra Photo is not affiliated with Adobe.
Which files can I open?
JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF and BMP. HEIC photos from iPhones open in Safari; in other browsers, set the iPhone camera to “Most Compatible” or convert to JPG first.
Will the download be full resolution?
Yes, up to what your device can handle safely. Very large photos may be exported smaller on phones or older devices because of browser memory limits; the editor tells you when that happens.
Does it remove location and camera data?
By default the download contains no metadata at all. If you turn on “Keep camera details” for a JPG, the camera and exposure details stay, but GPS location and the embedded preview of the original are removed.
Can I save my own presets?
Yes. In Presets, type a name and save your current look. Saved presets stay in this browser, and you can delete them at any time.
Why do some effects look different at 100% zoom?
Sharpening, noise reduction and grain work on fine detail, so they are easiest to judge at 100%. The preview while zoomed out is a scaled-down approximation of the full-size result.
